Bag of the Month: The Bodleian Library

So many amazing bags to choose from this month. We’ve finally settled on our favourite bag of the month and it’s this fine cotton tote produced for the Bodleian Library.

The Bodleain Library is the main research library of the University of Oxford. It’s one of the oldest libraries in Europe. It houses over 12 million items, from books to magazines, making it the second-largest library in Britain after the British Library. The tote bag we produced features an elegant 1 colour print of the Sense and Sensibility artwork of the Jane Austin classic, first published in 1811.

Printed on a 100% recycled canvas tote with 60cm webbed handles, this beautiful material is fast becoming a classic in the WBC range. Our 12oz recycled canvas is made from recycled clothing. It’s one of the most environmentally friendly materials on the bags for life market. The perfect alternative to plastic shopping bag –  lots of room for books, day to day essentials, groceries and all those extra bits you buy from gift shops. The base gusset increases the bag capacity, making them a practical choice for stores and gift shops. The striped handle and contemporary grey finish add to its stunning appeal.

Only time will tell if this bag for life will flourish for the same 200 years that Jane Austen’s novel did – we like to think it just might. Here are the details, should you be interested in us printing some for you.
